How To Make Vegan Spinach Dip

I love a good chip & dip combo

...And this recipe is savory and easy to make!

Whether it be a big game like the Super Bowl or a small family gathering, chips and dip is always a good idea! Spinach dip is one of my favorites because it’s filling and easy to make, with little ingredients. This satisfying vegan spinach dip is filled with gooey, yumminess!

Spinach Dip is so versatile!

You can pair it with tortilla chips, veggies or add it to a bread bowl. This picture is of the original recipe that I tweaked, from Karissa’s Vegan Kitchen.

I tweaked a recipe from Karissa’s Vegan Kitchen. It takes 10-15 minutes to make the dip. Grab & prep:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 of teaspoons oil

  • 1 small chopped yellow onion

  • 5 cloves of minced garlic

  • 6 ounces of chopped, fresh baby spinach

  • 1 and a half cup of vegan cream cheese (12 ounces)

  • 1/2 cup vegan mayo

  • A few sprinkles of paprika, salt, pepper, Old Bay & habanero hot sauce to taste

Vegan cream cheese, mayo & spinach…

They are the main stars of this appetizer! I used a hand mixer to make it come together.

HOW TO MAKE VEGAN SPINACH DIP:

  • Add oil to your pan

  • Toss in onion and saute until translucent.

  • Add in garlic and let it cook for 1 minute.

  • Put spinach in last, by the handful. Cook down.

  • Set aside the mix and let it cool.

  • In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, mayo and paprika.

  • Add your spinach/onion/garlic medley into the bowl.

  • If it’s too thick, add a touch of plant milk to soften the mix.

  • Sprinkle in the rest of your spices and hot sauce.

  • Chill and serve cold. Add to a charcuterie tray or keep it simple alongside chips.

After you blend the mayo and cream cheese, add:

Spinach, garlic and onion. A classic, savory mix.

Mix it together

Don’t forget to…

Add in your spices and hot sauce for a kick!

Here’s what my version looked like once I tweaked the original recipe:

When I dip, you dip, we dip! What's your favorite way to pair spinach dip? Chips and dip, add it to a bread bowl or charcuterie tray?
